Happiness as Anarchy #50: Rediscovering Old CDs

I’ve been listening to Norah Jones today. It’s been 17 years since her hit album Come Away With Me was released and I will confess that at the time it was so popular I wasn’t sure if I liked it. After listening to the whole album several times today, I can say that I definitely do like it. I like way she blends pop, jazz and country, with a great lineup of instruments and musicians. It’s simple and easy to listen to, but interesting and beautiful. It’s not perfect – that line ‘come away with me on a bus’ still grates a little – but it makes you feel good and human.
