Happiness as Anarchy #223: Eartha Kitt

The original Catwoman, starring in the 1967 Batman series, and famous for her renditions of ‘C’est si bon’ and ‘Santa Baby’, Eartha Kitt was nothing short of fabulous. In addition to making a whole series dressed in a skin-tight plastic catsuit, she had a very distinctive voice and a wonderful sense of humour in the songs she chose and the way she sang them. My parents had an Eartha record that I loved to listen to listen to as a kid. My favourite song of hers is still ‘I Want to be Evil’.
