When taking a walk at dinner time in suburbia one’s nose is greeted with all kinds of smells wafting from people’s kitchens. Onions and garlic being gently sautéed, steak frying, a whiff of curry, vegetable soup bubbling on the stove. In the fading light of dusk it is an olfactory adventure full of aromatic surprises.
