My new meat thermometer came with a little chart of meat temperatures. Being a magnet I stuck it on the fridge, not really expecting to use it – I was just being tidy. However, it has turned out to be incredibly handy. I’m not the kind of person who remembers things like the temperature of cooked pork, so it’s wonderful to simply take a quick glance at the fridge before heading out the back door to check on the meat. No more guessing or spending too long looking up the answer during which time it gets overcooked.
