Tiny Pleasures #92: Lost Things Found

I lost my amazing metal earplugs (they block out the hurting volume but you still hear most of the definition) on the second day of the folk festival. I was tired and they live in a little black pouch that’s pretty hard to see in the dark in a busy setting. I did the all the usual steps to find them: curse myself for not taking more care, retrace my steps since I last saw them, make a lost property report, then say ‘C’est la vie. It’s a bummer to lose $90 earplugs, but these things happen when you do stuff.’

And then, to my delight, I got a message on the last day that something matching my description had been handed in to lost property. They were indeed mine and I’m still feeling extremely happy to have found them.
