My tomatoes have begun to flower. And flowers because fruit. With 35 plants in and growing well I am hopeful for an abundance of tomotoes soon. I do enjoy the anticipation in the measured progress of growing vegetables.
I was walking out to dinner last night, dressed in a nice little black dress. A man on a bicycle shouted at me as he rode past: 'Great earrings'. Such a delightful compliment that allowed us a tiny moment of connection as my earrings danced in the rays of the setting sun.

What do you do when you have an enormous tree in your front yard? Decorate it with Christmas baubles for the whole neighbourhood to enjoy. This tree is twice as big as the house and what are quite large baubles look teeny tiny.

Oh quel plaisir to dig in the soil with a brand new trowel. The crisp, pointed edge goes into the dirt so easily, the smooth wooden handle a pleasure to hold. It makes weeding almost fun.
I like gumnuts. I like their shape and colours and their little lids holding all the seeds in. And in a very Australian thumbs up to logic, the biggest nuts are found on the smallest trees.
