WINE & SPIRITS

Amie has been researching and teaching wine and drinks for more than a decade for private clients, public functions and at The University of Melbourne. (Amie has a PhD in wine and culture – that makes her a Doctor of Wine – and if you’d like to read her thesis on image, identity and stories in the French and Australian wine industries, you can find it here).

Fun, educational and unpretentious wine and spirits tasting workshops that include history, culture and production methods, and of course, lots of tasting. Amie offers a range of drinks tasting workshops, including Champagne and sparkling wine, red wine, white wine, single varietal comparisons (e.g. Shiraz from around the world), whisky, gin and vermouth. Workshops are tailored to suit the event, respecting time, tastes and interests.

MUSIC

From ukulele workshops designed to get you started on your new instrument to stagecraft, songwriting and piano lessons, Amie loves to share her love, knowledge and experience of music with others. She has bespoke programs for workshops in a range of formats, whether you’re after a one-off or a series for a festival, community group, festival or school.

Amie is a qualified and experienced teacher who has taught music and French in primary and secondary schools, universities, community settings and corporate.

Or are you looking for an interesting and engaging workshop for your French students at school? Amie speaks fluent French (she did a French degree and has spent a number of years living in France) and loves the language and culture. Her workshops are practical, fun and hands-on using food, music, props and media to make learning French a fun and rewarding experience.
