Community Songwriting
A fun and creative project working with community members to collaborate on writing a song. Beginning with a workshop to generate ideas for stories and sounds and ideas which I take back to my studio and turn them into a song. I share that process with the community as the song progresses, incorporating feedback and once finished, I record the song and publish it online and can also bring the song home for a special live performance.
School Songwriting
In-school project to developing students’ creative process for song-writing – how to find and develop ideas, write lyrics, create melodies, as well as learning about song structure, and creating musical moods and grooves. We will also develop skills in using body percussion, basic percussion, vocal sounds, and found sounds to add texture and colour to songs. No prior music experience is required.
Community Songwriting
