FRENCH CHANSON

Amie Brûlée sings a delightful selection of French and European songs with continental sophistication and vintage style. Solo or with guitarist and double bass, she moves seamlessly from the toe-tapping rhythms of French Gypsy Jazz to the heartfelt songs of Edith Piaf, 1950s easy swing and the beautiful melodies of gay Paris. Amie speaks fluent French, has lived in France, and has a PhD in French culture. She weaves engaging stories between songs creating performances that delight audiences of all ages.

FOOD & DRINKS SONGS

Amie Brûlée has a predilection for anything to do with food and drinks, especially songs. Her repertoire combines wonderful old songs and originals in a gastronomic vein – from coffee to fruit, seduction via the taste buds, wine, whisky and all things in between. Her album Bon Appétit! has thirteen fabulous songs from the 1920s to the early 2000s. From well-known songs, such as the soft and beautiful “Days of Wine and Roses” and dirty old blues “Sugar In My Bowl”, to more obscure gems like “Peel Me A Grape” and “Drinking Champagne”. The perfect thing to listen to whilst cooking lunch or sitting down with a drink or dinner! The trio is available for food and drinks festivals and events.
