Flying safely through a thunderstorm and arriving safely home makes me happy. I can handle a delay if it means we don't fall out of the sky. I love to fly. It never gets old, the rush of take-off as you zoom away from the earth and burst through the clouds into a golden wonderland. The clouds were particularly beautiful over Bass Strait in the late afternoon, a myriad of purples, pinks and blues, all tinged with gold and fire.
