Low in the eastern sky this evening hung a glorious honeyed full moon. Big and fat, hanging heavy on the skyline, taking its time to rise up into the night sky. Such a rich colour that you wouldn't have been surprised to see a slow dribble of honey falling off on side.
A giant full moon dragged itself up over the trees, so large and slow it seemed reluctant to emerge into the dusty pink of the evening sky. I felt like it was pulling me home as I followed its bright presence, disappearing and reappearing from behind hills and trees and houses. The magical otherworldliness of
Hanging over the Ballarat skyline this evening was a sliver of moon and its fellow traveller, the lone star. The seemingly fragile white lights sat cushioned in the velvety dark blue of a sky heading towards darkness. To have witnessed the fleeting beauty above leaves me with a quiet smile.
