I love short stories. I love it that they’re short. Short and sweet. No extraneous words. Swift introductions and loose endings that leave acres of room for the imagination to play. Style aside, I love it that they’re short – offering all the pleasure of a good story without being sucked into the vortex of a novel that holds you in its clutches for days on end.
