I do find it terribly satisfying to complete a small handywoman job. The fan in the ceiling in my bathroom spontaneously dropped out last week, but today I rectified the problem. I zipped off to the hardware shop to acquire a new fan and after a bit of fiddling accompanied by a modicum of grunting and huffing, successfully installed it in the hole. Sound the trumpets – Miss Fixit’s reign continues!
