Note to self: the 7:40 Ballarat train does not stop at Footscray. I think it’s the only one that doesn’t. I know this because I tried to catch it this evening but it sailed right past. The only thing to do with an hour to wait until the next train is to go on the hunt for a funky bar. Success – Mr West, a mere 5 minute stroll from Footscray Station. Great beer, funky tunes and super cheery bartenders.
