Oh quel plaisir to dig in the soil with a brand new trowel. The crisp, pointed edge goes into the dirt so easily, the smooth wooden handle a pleasure to hold. It makes weeding almost fun.

I like gumnuts. I like their shape and colours and their little lids holding all the seeds in. And in a very Australian thumbs up to logic, the biggest nuts are found on the smallest trees.

It's not everyday your offspring end up in a mural. I walked down the laneway next to the art gallery to find her band being very cool on a big wall. She's the little bass player on the right. If you're into metal music you might like the band Otrera.

I don't know what this garden tool does, but I am so pleased the designer put the yellow circle on the bolt so it looks like some kind of industrial tropical bird.
